Current Exhibitions
Memory of a City in Miniature is now on view at the Trout Museum of Art in Appleton, WI. Each year at the SECURA Fine Arts Exhibition, a jury selects a Best of Show artist who is awarded a solo exhibition at the TMA. Adam was thrilled to be named Best of Show in 2021, and is delighted to share this new series of paintings, drawings, and video works.
sand animation
In 2018 Adam began working with sand and stop motion animation as a way to manipulate architecture. His video work the architect went on to win best new artist at the Istanbul Experimental Film Festival in 2021; and best of sand and salt at the Palm Springs International Animation Festival in 2020. Adam is currently in production for a third animated video, expected to release in September of 2022.
About the Artist
Adam Stoner is a fine artist and scenic designer living in Milwaukee, WI. A graduate of UW Milwaukee’s MFA in Intermedia, he is best known for his architectural work in paint and sand.
